For so long a time, people have been talking about the coming of the antichrist. Some even argue on who will the antichrist be. While the number of believers of the bible continues to rise over the past years, the number of preachers has likewise been unceasing. Inevitably, there are many points to ponder with the beliefs of Christianity in these modern world. For one, majority of these preachers, teach tithing or to offer 10% of one’s earnings. Since the teaching of Christ was to offer any amount so long as it is the decision of the heart, makes these preachers an antichrist for opposing to the teaching of Christ.
The most significant part of identifying the antichrist, is through the mark of the beast as 666. In the book of Revelation, there was an instruction for those who understands this matter, to calculate the number of the beast or its name. Since the New Testament was originally written in Greek, pertinent numerical values of each letter must be considered. The numeric value of the word “Paradosis” found in the Greek translation of the New Testament has a total of 666. Paradosis in English means “traditions”. This confirms that traditions are influenced by the beast to distract men from obeying God.
There are many existing antichrists in spirit today. However, an individual antichrist will arise and will perform incredible miracles in the last days. Many will be deceived while some of the believers will not escape from bending their faith.
